Dr. Sheldon Green died on December 12th, 1995, at the age
of 51. He was long active in the quantum-mechanical study of small molecules
in the interstellar medium, and some of his publications
in this field continue to be widely cited. He and Jeremy
Hutson were co-authors and co-maintainers of the MOLSCAT
quantum-mechanical collision software package.
At the time of his death, Dr. Green had been living quietly in lower
Manhattan. He enjoyed bicycling and dancing.
